Scripture: Genesis 1:1–25
Children, have you ever made something—maybe a drawing or a building with blocks? How did you feel when it turned out well?
Now imagine this: who made the sky, the sea, the animals, and the plants?
Today we will learn that God is the Creator whose work is perfect.
Genesis 1 teaches us that the universe did not happen by accident. Everything exists because of God.
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
Before anything existed, God already was.
The key phrase is: “And God said…”
The Hebrew word “bara” means to create out of nothing.
When God spoke, light came into existence.
Parallel Scriptures:
Transition: How does God carry out His creative work?
God created the sky, land, and seas step by step.
The word “good” (tov) means fitting God’s purpose.
Parallel Scriptures:
Transition: What about living creatures?
God created the sun, moon, stars, fish, birds, and animals.
Everything was made according to its kind.
Character Message: Because God’s work is perfect, we trust Him and live gratefully.
A child once said, “If God cares about tiny insects, He surely cares about me.”
Let us trust the Creator whose works are perfect.
Poetic Closing:
The morning sun, the evening sky,
All declare God’s works on high.
His creation, perfect and true,
My life is safe, O God, in You.
