Scripture: Micah 5:1–3

Opening

Children, have you ever seen something small but very important? Like a small seed that becomes a big tree. Bethlehem was a small town, not famous, but God chose it for His great plan.

Rhetorical question: Why does God often use small things for His big works?

Text Background

Micah wrote during a time when Israel lived in sin. Yet God gave a promise: a ruler will come from Bethlehem. The word “rule” (mashal) means leading with wisdom and holiness.

Bethlehem means “House of Bread.” From this small town came Jesus, the Bread of Life.
