Scripture: Micah 5:1–3
Children, have you ever seen something small but very important? Like a small seed that becomes a big tree. Bethlehem was a small town, not famous, but God chose it for His great plan.
Rhetorical question: Why does God often use small things for His big works?
Micah wrote during a time when Israel lived in sin. Yet God gave a promise: a ruler will come from Bethlehem. The word “rule” (mashal) means leading with wisdom and holiness.
Bethlehem means “House of Bread.” From this small town came Jesus, the Bread of Life.
The theme shows God’s faithful plan. Jesus, the Holy Savior, came from a small place to teach us to live in holiness.
A small child once thought he was not important. But one simple act of kindness changed his class. Small things can do great things—just like Bethlehem.
Let us welcome the Holy Savior with holy lives. Jesus came for us—let us live for Him.
Response: “Lord, I want to live in holiness because You were born for me.”
